    Laminex or other cupboard facing brandnames. i have 3 drawer setup using laminate strips on each side.( of the base ) As long as the surfaces on the sides and bottom of the drawers are a neat ( not too tight ) fit, the drawers will slide easily. If mine get a bit of resistance, a quick puff from a silicone spray aerosol, and they move like a sled on ice Added - you only need the strips on one surface, mine are on the cabinet.

    X2 for Dotmar, or look at ebay for some computer rack drawer runners, very heavy duty.
