    Connecting a good set of gauges to the system [ one on the HP side, one on the LP side] will show if the system is up to pressure. A refrigerant leak is usually accompanied by an oily residue , a visual check is the first step. After fixing the leak,before re-gassing, a vacuum pump should evacuate the system for at least an hour, to clear any moisture. The ability to hold vacuum normally indicates no leaks. Each system holds a definite weight of refrigerant, too much gas is as bad as too little. If your mechanic simply attached the gas bottle to the system & gave it a squirt, without going thru the correct procedure, find another mechanic. Bob

    Went to the boys at British Off Road and spoke to Chris there and found a stuffed hose which will take a few days to get as mob who make it wont be back till then.....so ordered it and will get them to sort aircon out......btw impressed with them
    O well thank you all for your help, im off to fraser island without aircon Now i have a oscilating fan mounted on the dash till its fixed hahaha
