Disco 2 Recalls/defender recalls

    Product Info: Campaign D149

Defect details: The affected vehicles could experience the ACE (Active Cornering Enhancement) pump banjo bolt loosening, due to insufficient torque at manufacture, and allowing fluid to leak past the joint. When the fluid supply is exhausted a diagnostic warning light will be illuminated and the ACE system will go into a fail-safe mode.

Consumer action: Please contact your authorised Land Rover Dealer.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Product Info: Model Years 1999 - 2004

Consumer action: Contact your authorised Land Rover Dealer.

    Make: Land Rover

Model: Discovery Series II and Defender

    Model Years From: 1999 -2004

Consequences: May experience a reduction in the noticed level of vehicle deceleration and an increase in the travel of the service brake pedal.

    Campaign Number: D148

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Defect details: The affected vehicles could experience the throttle sticking intermittently during operation; the exact point of sticking is not predictable and can result in a higher engine speed than expected.

Consumer action: Please contact your authorised Land Rover Dealer.

    Make: Land Rover

If you drive it right then sideways is a by product of the V8.

    Goes hand in hand

    sideways is good--

    sideways demands practise---

    sideways is expensive---

sideways is easier with RWD---(compared to AWD-FWD)

sideways becomes amazingly easy with locked diff RWD---

Controling sideways becomes amazingly difficult with locked diff RWD---
