Black sticky tape over the lights...

Seriously though, don't HDC and TC both use the ABS sensors somehow? Maybe you've got a dud ABS sensor somewhere, and it's trying to tell you that none of the above will work.

Not having a LR with a computer in it, I don't know how much they charge, but maybe take it to a dealer and get them to plug their computer into it and see what faults are logged?

We had a similar problem some time back. Turned out we had managed to sever the wire into one of the rear brakes. Played dumb ... not hard.. and managed to have it replaced under warranty. Just as well as I think it costs an arm and two legs.

Have a peep underneath at each corner. If not the case the unit has most likely packed it in.

Seems suspiciously like an ABS modulator problem. Have it checked out at a dealer on "Testbook". If it is and you have owned the truck from new hold out for a warranty replacement. You should be able to get by with a part contribution to the cost at least. The modulator is bloody expensive if you have to do it all alone. This is not an uncommon problem by the way. I think there might be another thread on this site concerning this problem.

Snap! 99 TD5 with the evil three eyes glowing in the dash. I have been reading up on this phenomenal event and in one forum in the US they have just had a recall with regard to the abs modulator in their vehicles. It was too late for one guy he had given up and sold his car a month or two before the recall. He was having issues with his Dealer and felt better to be without the hassle.

I have contacted recalls Australia and they have not been informed, and I am unable to email landrover Australia or Premier Automotive Group Pty limited. I have found their phone number in Sydney and I am going to make contact this week. I haven't been to a dealer yet as I am expecting it to be the most expensive phone call I could make.

How many other owners have experienced this problem? I am going to start agitating landrover about this issue.

Had a similar Xmas Tree on my F'landie. Turned out to be dirty ABS sensor. Need to go to a LR Service Centre - they'll plug in their computer (I think it's called "Test Book" - npt available anywhere else but LR dealer/servoice centre), tell you what's wrong and charge you an arm and a leg for the pleasure...
