SupporterDo you have a "rough " idle or "surging' idle as these can be seperate problems, generally a "surging" idle is an injector pump diaphram problem (diesal specialist required) "rough"plus"surging" idle is more indicitive of a fuel delivery problem, any thing from air ingress into the system (have you changed the fuel filter latley /run out of fuel, has work being done on the fuel system prior to the problem ) to a pump problem, have you cracked the fuel lines at the injectors to see if all cylinders feel equal also to bleed the lines.

Had the same problem when I did my first Diesel Filter turned out I had air trapped in system? Did you do your own servicing?
