They have indicated its possible, but touch n go due to clearance with the LS however they are not so sure that its nessesary over the strongest 24spline ashcroft gear in the front. But if its comparable in price then it might be a goer, would be low pinion and aluminum so would save on unsprung weight also. Stay tuned on that one.

That looks nice!..so thats an ashcroft piece? I heard that Jac Mac may have supplied rovertracks spindles, but not confirmed.
Anyone know if he would still do the spindles, yes hes impossible to deal with but still?

For more clearance at the front you could dry sump it. Get a vette setup, bolt on.

Yeah Ashcroft, they have a big A machined into the screw on nut. Then 5 more bolt holes added. They may not do them anymore from what I was told. Any good machine shop could machine them up, splines and all. They are hardened to 35 Rockwell. On an NC machine they will take bugger all time to make but manual machine will take longer. Become mates with a machinist haha

why low pinion in the front? Im not sure, but I dont think there are reverse rotation gearsets for front low pinion ford 9???, so that puts the gears on the coast side. Not good with the thrust loads a ford 9 creates

LRA do run corvette sumps on LS builds from memory

Interesting, cant imagine high pinion fitting? With the LS..So your saying high pinion would be the only option?

no, there are many options and you have to choose what you want. I cant comment on LS clearance. But IMO if you are going to the trouble and $$$ spent why would you run a stronger diff in its weakest way. How much stronger is a ford 9 low pinion in the front compared to a built Rover with HD gears, reverse cut???

Plus your front propshaft angle will suck more.

Thats a very good point and i think LRA are confident with the full Ashcroft front end at this stage, but if it does go then it would be the 9" that would be going in.

Yes but the dry sump sump is only maybe 2" deep. The one used in the latest model that they've run in GT Le Mans category. They run the stock dry sump setup it's actually really well done for factory, I think it's a 5 stage + pressure.
