DVD Player

Have 2003 Discovery with factory fitted DVD Player. My 6 year old has changed a setting while trying to change disc. All I receive is a WRONG REGION message after disc loads. Have had very little support from dealer but I'm guessing it need some setting changed. Manual has proven to be no help.

Ok mate most DVD players will let you change the zone 5 - 6 times before they lock down - i think.

Is there ant setting in the DVD like "Setup" or programming etc. If there is you should find it in there.

other than that im sorry dont know.

The "factory" DVD players are Eurovox units.
The LR dealer should be able to change the region. If they can't, they do have access to Eurovox service to get the required info.

landrovermick is right when he says many allow only a limited number of region changes. This certianly applies to most computer DVD players. For some their is a downloadable software 'crack' that allows unlimited changes. Not sure if this helps you, though.

I think Scouse has the right idea. Give the LR dealer a hard time and get them to follow it up for you coz if you go direct to Eurovox they'll probably want proof of purchase etc etc...
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Procedure to change/check region:
"Using remote, eject disc then press 72694 or 73684. Should have region 4 on screen."
Hope this info helps - cost me heaps at the dealer in Parra.

I'd believe it.
Note to anyone reading the codes: they are secret & not to be used [sarcastic remark]
