The top one is for my Tdi and the bottom for my TD5.
The Tdi is a 15 mm el cheapo ring open end. Cost me $5. I cut the open end off it, found a piece of pipe, slipped it over the spanner and hammered it tight.
When I purchased the TD5 I found that I needed an offset so I got a double ring and did the same. I found with the TD5 that two hands were needed to remove the belt, so I remove the rubber bung off the end and there is a piece of purpose made chain that comes out and it locks onto a body part when tensioner is released.
There is also a phillips screw driver in there as well for removing the top fan shroud.
The beauty of these is that they are purpose built so should never be used for anything else, so there is no reason for them to leave the car and forget to be returned.
Make loosening the tensioers a breeze
