Thread: HOT CAMS (series drivers only)

For those of us who continue to have our character built and our patience fortified by driving 2.25 petrols, there may be some respite - no not the cure of a 3 litre V6 turbo diesel, just the refinement of a better cam.

I've been reading that the cam from the 2.5 petrol version goes well into the 2.25 and assists with better breathing, both down low and at speed. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif[/img]

This seems to be a popular performance upgrade in the USA, where the 2.5 cams sell for $140 - $150 USD.

Paddock spares in the UK have them for 44.99 GBP which equates to $115 AUD. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

I'm thinking of trying one out. Does anyone have anything intelligent or amusing to say about this? Would anyone be interested in a group purchase? I figure the cheapest freight would be postage, if items valued at under $1,000 AUD are posted, they are Tax Exempt on their arrival to the antipodes (Australia). So we may get a discount of the items for a bulk purchase, but opt to pay the individual postage.
