But having the right pressure will mean the tyre will wear evenly across the tyre rather than the tyre being bald on the shoulders while there is still 7mm of tread toward the center.
I actually believe my tyre pressures are too high on my fronts which casues the centre to wear more during straight running. The advatage of this is while I'm running straight the shoulders or the tread close to the edges is not wearing. Then during cornering the tread toward the edges are worn more. The result is the tread across the tire wears evenly.
