An interesting little read.
Not sure how "quick and easy" it would be on a Puma with the filter down the rear of the car with no priming pump at the tank, just the main pump "sucking" fuel up to the engine. Although I'm guessing one would do it just prior to the injectors. A phone call would soon sort that.
Having just had a gut full of water in mine, and at a cost of almost 5k just for the injectors, I'm researching all my options for keeping the system right, from the filler to the exhaust.
In discussions with various mechanics over the last couple of weeks in concern with my car, it seems the best thing one can do is to start with a clean tank, making sure any condensation is delt with before it gets to the engine. So in short, a really good filtration system that pulls water out, with regular filter changes.
As for cleaning injectors in situ, magic idea if it works well. With the Puma motors, to get them removed and cleaned/rebuilt by a pro is expensive too, and there seems to be very few that garantee their work, then of course, they have to be re-calibrated which I'm assuming at this point, can only be done by LR.
So if theres a way of cleaning in situ,,, cool, although I'm not sure if they'd still need calibration afterwards
I will be having a talk with a mate of mine about another product next week,, we'll see what happens.
