idling slow is correct. it has been idling very strange. Somedays, when you first power it up, it idles really rough, but after a little while it becomes good. by the time you get to your destination, when you pull up and put it into Park it idles at about 1000rpm (too high).
we had a fiddle with the Throttle Position sensor, and that seems to make a difference. I would like to have a look at another rangie of same year, to see what the spring setup the throtle lever assy that sits on the back of the plenum chamber is like, cos i think mine is a bit up the creek. :?
I have just noticed tonight that the thermistat housing on front of motor is leaking now as well !!!!!
anyone know how much these will be? when i had it off to get to the screw that holds the vacuum advance diaphragm on, it was in pretty poor condition (very coroded looking).
what next to fail on the rangie?

Sounds like a coolant sensor problem.
