defender batterybox
I posted a reply to Seymour's question about fitting two batteries in the defender battery box in which I wrote about having read somewhere that someone has replaced their passenger side battery box with a larger one. I have now convinced myself that I want to do this. My question is- how is the battery box mounted onto the bodywork- is it rivets, bolts etc. The box looks fairly easy to remake a bigger version of. If it is a simple matter to take the old out I would like to go this way getting one made up out of 3mm aluminium. Cheers,
Pullsy

I removed my driver side tool box to fit a fuel tank. It was only held in by rivets and sicaflex. It took about 1/2 an hour to remove. I did it with the seat base out of the vehicle. However, I think it would be just as easy to remove it while the base was still in the car.
