i have to apologise,
you made it so important that i went and grabbed a 15/16 by 1 inch ring spanner from my tool box
the kingchrome ring spanner is stamped
KINCHROME
on the back is 'drop forged alloy steel japan'
so i was wrong, and i have had these tools since around 1980, and with very few failures,
and i have always called them kingchrome.
even when i look at it in front of me now it looks like that
so stop making me feel like i can't read and rush off and buy the frigging things.

and we have always known them as that
