To add to the Kingchrome /Kinchrome tools debate there is also KC tools! The Kingchrome Brand was started by two partners, they had manufactured, distributed, and sold a very good quality product, about 8 years ago they had a falling out, :? and hence the name changes, one now is Kinchrome and the other is KC tools the Tools are still sourced from the same factories just stamped with the indivual brands and are the same quality level

Weight is not always a measure of quality.

I "inherited" a $3,500.00 tool roll from a McLaren F1 road car.

It contains 5 "Facom" ring/open-end spanners, 5 Allen keys, 4 screw driver bits, I pair and pliers and one 1/4" drive for the drivers. All rolled up in a nice leather roll.

The trick part is the 5 spanners are gold pasivated titanium and are virtually unbreakable. A 12mm spanner weighs less than 40grammes or under 2oz!

A cool "party trick" is to throw someone the spanner and they think it is made of plastic.

Interestingly the plyers are absolute crap.

The 1/4 drive has a joint half way up ut's shaft so you can break it's back and get leverage.

Not cheap but I didn't pay for it.

Just buy some of these-
http://www.repcoshop.com.au/ASP/Catalogue/...Page9.asp#Start

pretty good price at the moment and my Repco spanners are surviving well so they should be alright. The lifetime warranty is a plus- I've never had to test it as the tools won't bust. Cheers,

Earlier this year I bought a 1/4 and 1/2 inch Bahco socket sets from one of the AG shows. I havent seen them in the shops before. I bought these direct from the distributor. Bahco if you didn't know merged with Sandvik, and Bahco is owned by snapon-tools. Anyhow these sochkets are made in Sweeden and are exceptionally good quality. These are worth looking for in the shops.
