Thread: clock globe disco 1

    clock globe disco 1

    So pulled out my clock today wanting to change globe to give it abit of light however not sure where to go to get globes I've never seen one that small it's tiny like led sized.
    Anywhere in Melbourne I can grab one from would be great

    They have a part number, but I cannot access my documents for reference right now. If you fancy a fiddly job, you can get some adequately sized light bulbs from any accessory store, pull the original one out of its holder and put the replacement in place. Then you will have to push the green sock over the bulb somehow or trying to tint it.

    Aren't they a bog standard 12v 1.2w wedge base globe like these (available at any autoparts store and many servos):

    I forced a bulb from a spare instument binacle in. It works but the numbers dont display correctly. I have seen this on other Ds. What are replacement options?

    It seems they may be the 12/1.2 as that is what it says underneath not site if they wedge or not as unable to remove it from holder

    That's OK, Some come welded into the base, others are removable. Either way, they are a common item. See Dash Panel Globes - Products - Narva maybe one of them will do.

    Well I still have the old globe to take with me looks very similar so am sure can work it out thanks heaps

    If you get one that fits and works, come back and update this thread with the Narva part no. so others will know that they don't need to go to the dealer.
