    Viscous fan

Has anyone heard about fitting ford fans to rover V8's?

If so which model is it that fits.

    Cheers

If you're talking about viscous fans not electric thermos, then the early falcon viscous Assemblies fit, but the plastic fan is a few mm too large for the RR shroud. Off hand I think it the XD-XF 4.1 series. You need to trim a few mil off each blade of the fan but you can use a flat file of something similar. The bolt pattern is exactly the same. I've not done it as mine is still going strong, but I've heard of others doing it with no problems.

just about to stick some EF Falcon elec fans onto my 1987 RR.

Needs a bit of trimming - but fits a treat.

I'm hoping to have them fitted this weekend - so I can go to Ace's BBQ.

Here's hoping they cool better than those piddling little Davies Craig sheit

My previous '86 RR had a Ford steel fan fitted. The blades had been trimmed. I think the fan was out of an XE or XD
