Maxi drive or Jac mac.

Michael.
Gday guys,
Just wanted to hear people opinions on the Maxi drive and ARB diff locks. It's time to install one in the rear end of the Defender and I'm not sure which way to go. Both sound good to me. Anyone have any views on the subject?
Already have maxi drive axels and it seems the ARB unit is compatible with them. The only difference I'm aware of is the operation of the units, one being vacuum operated and the other compressor operated.
Interested to hear from anyone who has/had either locker.
Thanks
Mick

if you already got the maxi gear i would advise sticking with it..... Its good
I rule!!!
2.4" of Pure FURY!!!
I have ARB lockers front and rear, but if I had Maxi drive axles I would stick with their stuff

g'day D110V8D
i run front and rear air lockers on my 130td5 dualcab
rear axle's are maxi's front standard LR axles
never had a problem with the lockers as yet
i have the compresser fitted under the passenger seat box
with the air nozzle coming through the box
makes for easy access for inflating tyre's
the compressor is a little slow at blowing up tyre's
but if you leave your engine running they work better
also great when camping inflating beds and stuff
kids punture's
my 2 cents worth
130's rule
go with maxi drive, i have one in the rear of my defender and its been great, ive put about 100,000km on it and no problems. its a very simple strong design
cheers, serg
