I bought them from AMV who get them custom made to order. I needed new lines for the roadworthy so thought I might as well get extended ones. I think they are $150 for all 5 lines but I pick them up Tuesday so not sure yet.

So how did you go? Can you confirm price?
I need to do mine ASAP - near completion of the TDI / Body lift and I want to take her out by the end of the month!!!
Waiting impatiently....

what lth did you get.
who makes them.
Michael.
Well AMV (in typical fashion) quotes one price & charges another. Set of 5 extended brake hoses ended up costing $200.
I will never buy anything or get work done from AMV again unless I have a written quote, they are a pack of thieves. :x :x
brand are they.
are they ADR approved.
Still cheaper than what I paid.
Michael
I do not know what brand or if they are ADR approved. I bought them from AMV who gets them custom made by someone.
Sorry I can't help anymore. I'm sure if I bought direct from whoever did them it would be cheaper again. I guess there would not be any brand name on the hose but will look anyway.
Michael,
$320 is really not that bad for braided brake lines. I have braided lines on my Ducati and on my YZF426 Yamaha and they make significant difference in braking ability on motorbikes so you should notice some subtle benefits once installed. Braking usually appears more responsive and firmer. Usually for one braided line you are looking about $130 up for bikes. Keep us informed once you have them on. If I ever replace brake lines it will be stainless braided. It was mentioned about them wearing a hole in the braid, this is infact not the fault of the hose but more an incorrect application positioning it where it could rub or twist through either incorrect positioning or having the line too long. If it had been a satandard line and was rubbing it would have holed quicker again. The downside of standard rubber lines is that they swell reducing braking ability and this is often the cause of spongy brakes and is most often overlooked and misdiagnosed as pad or rotor problems.
Mine are fitted and are great.
Noticable brake improvement.
I was just checkingtosee if AMVs were as good better ect at that price.
Maltech made the ones I have,
Michael.
Hey Michael,
they make a nice difference to the feel of the middle pedal, don't they 8) shame no one ever gets to see them.
The whole ADR thing is a bit of a ****, as the olive/compression fittings that have been used forever on aircraft and race cars are a stronger fitting than a legal crimp fitting. Much cheaper, as well.
Oh well, it keeps the RTA and insurance bods happier.
