If you fitted studs to a disco 300tdi you would need to pull the engine to remove the head (due to the rear head bolt). Surely a RRC would be the same?
I'm looking to swap to ARP head studs on the 300 so I can clamp the ****er down REAL tight.
I did see a thread ages ago about it, but now I can't find it...
I just need a list of part numbers/bolt sizes I need.

If you removed the engine mounts you might be able to drop the front down enough to get the head on/off, otherwise it will hit the plenum.

You can fit the studs (rear) by putting the 2 studs in their holes in the heads and hold them up away from the block surface with a rubber band or clothes pegs.
When the head is in it's place you can screw the studs into place, the ARP studs I have used have had the top of the studs with an Allen head socket machined in them, Regards Frank.
OR you can modify your scuttle, like I have...
so, does anyone know the part numbers?
