Well if it's terminal I'll take it off f your hands. It just needs to get onto a train heading south.
My guess is either rear axle(flange or axle) or centre diff (gears or rear output shaft). The way to tell which one it is, is to jack up the front wheels off the ground, chock the rear wheels, lock the cdl and then see if the rear tailshaft is turning in any gear (motor running of course). No turn means centre diff, turn means rear diff. Either way it's not going to be cheap to fix. Good luck.

Ok so I jacked the truck up hand brake off, in gear CDL engaged and spun each wheel. Both front hit resistance and both rear spun.
Check the drive shafts and both of them spin with CDL engaged.
So, rear axle then? Or rear diff?
Most likely an axle or drive flange. The diff gears on a salisbury are unlikely to give any trouble. Knock the rubber caps off both flanges and and have a look if an axle is turning inside one of them. If not, remove the drive flanges with axles attached one at a time (long one first) and see what you find.

If you upgrade to hi-tough, I'd spend the extra $ and upgrade flanges, etc as well......

Yeah I was thinking of getting the kit. Just gotta find somewhere that ships to NZ.
Ok small update, I took the rubber caps of rear wheels and spun them and they seem to be sweet at that end. The flanges don't appear to be spinning around the axles.
Will have to try and remove the drive flange and axles now..
