What model ctek charger to get for a D4?

    Hi All,

Friends on and off AULRO seem to believe that ctek is the way to go. Is there a particular model I should get? My usage would be light, just topping up my bike, elderly parents' cars, and sometime my D4 which has a pretty big battery. I'm guessing a 3.8 or 5.0 model?

I have a traxide dbs and an Optima yellow top as well.

Anyone here have advice? No objection to paying a bit extra for peace of mind when charging a larger battery.

    cheers
    J

I have always believed in the V8 principle, go big and lazy. I have an old ( now ) 25000 Ctek. It will charge up damn near anything, and has been used and abused for 6 years now without letting me down. I would go for the highest up the model tree you can afford.

    James,
It depends on your budget. I have a 5amp one that works well and suitable for bikes and cars.
A 10 amp may suit as well.
A lot depends on what you want.
Be careful in WA as many places overcharge for CTek chargers etc.
If you want to check the range out look here Ctek Chargers - Ctek Battery Charger
    Cheers

I went for the 15amp. So far it has brought a couple of big batteries back from the dead and saved me a few hundred bucks in the process.
