    Enginesaver sounding off

    Hi all,
At startup, my Enginesaver has taken longer and longer to stop sounding off. It has gotten to the stage where it will come on in the middle of a trip.
Disconnecting and reconnecting at the sensor seems to fix it for a short while but it always comes back on.
Has anyone else had this problem. It seems like an earth problem, but the earth connections seem okay.
    Any ideas?

And yes, it is topped up with coolant.

Mine was doing the same recently, I removed the sensor and cleaned it.
    All good after that.

might have to do the same , but the problem being that on initial start up , the siren screams longer at colder ambient temps than when warm , but fine thereafter ?

I removed the sensor and it seemed clean. Stained brown is all.
The small screw that is the sensor wasn't very tight. Now tightened, I'm hoping that was the problem. Time will tell.

Mine does the same. I clean it & it's OK for a few days then gets worse & worse. I am starting to wonder if this is the start of a HG going

I had that problem, turned out to be a loose connection at the sensor. Doesn't take much. Bob

I think they are very sensative to low voltage on a TD5,on days when my D2 only just starts as the battery is low it squeels whilst the voltage comes up.
It also went off when my alternator failed, just before all the bells and whistles started up.
    Just something else to check.
