Seeing as you've posted in Tech Chatter, no-one will know what vehicle you're talking about.

May be helpful to list which vehicle/engine/year/gearbox.

ITs an 84 compliance plated range rover 3500. Photo shows the rear of the fan.

Not really sure which is the best sub forum , but this one seems to have the most traffic.

A V8 is a standard thread(lefty loosey), so if you haven't got the proper fan holding and spanner tools, get a big shifter on the hub nut behind the fan, and give the end of the shifter a smart smack with a hammer.

Left hand thread , undo clockwise looking from the front ( the same way it rotates ) Righty loosey , yes and a big open end spanner and liberal smacking with a hammer. Diff ratio 3.54:1

Cheers guys , i had this funny feeling it might be LHT. I'll give it a go tomorrow.

And the diff ratio is almost spot on to what i need , so hopefully with some minor speedo cable fun and games , i can run the factory gemini speedo ( diesels came with a 3.55:1 ratio , petrols 3.9:1 )

Throwing the 3500 and an auto from a BMW ( A22HP i think ) into a gemini and street registering it. The new NCOP laws are saying its legal to do it , no-one else has done it yet , and i like to be different. So far everything is looking good for fitment without having to mod the tunnel or any other body part of the gem. The lightweightness of the motor will also be a big help , i'll be taking it ( motor and box from both cars ) to my work and weighing them to make sure its not going to be an excessive weight in the front end ( trying to use stock springs ).
