    Stage 1 V8 owner's manual?

Hello everyone. I just aquired a 1980 Stage 1 V8 with a steel tray. Power-wise, it is certainly an upgrade from the IIA I had when I lived in New Zealand in the 1990s. Complexity-wise it is too.

Anyway, I reckon an owner's manual might come in handy. (I've already downloaded the repair and parts manuals.) I notice that various sellers are offering Series III owner's manuals for 1971-1981 and 1981-1985. Before I part with my cash, I would like to know whether either of them mention the Stage 1 V8. Being a 1980 model, mine is a relatively early one (chassis no is 92, engine 83), so I'm not sure which one is the right manual for me, if indeed either of them is suitable. Can anyone advise me?

    Thanks,
    Roger

PS I'm not big on nick-names!

    Hi Roger
I own Stage One V8 1984 and I am not long way from Bendigo.
Have similar problems and I didn't find Stage One workshop or owner's manual. Mechanically truck is almost the same as SIII with completely different drivetrain (comes from classic RR), but rest of is, probably ?, just the same as SIII. But...not all parts from classic RR will fit, I have some bad experience about that :?

You guys could try the PITSTOP bookshop in Perth, they deal only in automotive style books and have a website to order from.
I recently purchased a holden manual,it arrived at my door (Im in a country town 160ks from Perth) the next day for$6 delivery.I was impressed!!!!

All you need is the V8 suppliment and the series 3 manual and you should be right.

Have a look at this site for the V8 Supplement.

Thanks killer. I had already trawled that site, and got the V8 overhaul manual, but it does not appear to have the v8 repair manual supplement.

Looking at the Series III repair manual I downloaded, it appears to contain all the maintenance info one would want. I get the feeling that I don't need an owner's manual. Just use the SIII repair manual and V8 repair supplement, and if there's anything missing from that lot I could probably trawl through the 110 repair manual.

I'm still curious, though. Do any of the Series III owner's manuals refer to the Stage 1 V8?
