    Jerking when cold.

This has been happening for a while and after a 12K trip through the north and back home has got worse.
It didn't happen in the warmer climes but in Perth when going for the morning paper when I take my foot off the throttle I get this horrible jerking feeling. This only happens for the time it takes to warm up.
I put the Nanocom on to check for faults but got nothing.
    Any ideas anyone?
    AlanH.

PS. Had this mildly when it was under warranty and they said it was the metering valve or something but it was only slight so I didn't worry about it although they said they'd changed it. What is it and where is it?

Ooops! Forgot all the important bits. Sorry about that. 2010 Defender 2.4 124K
Today I did a bit of servicing....cleaned the air filter, did the same to the MAF by gently using a cotton bud with alcohol to remove any crap. Then took off for the first time the sensor on the inlet side and found it was filthy with oily crap.
Did the same thing, used a cotton bud and alcohol and swabbed it clean.
Tried it afterwards but because the vehicle and air was warmer didn't get any jerking.
    I'll try again tomorrow morning.
    Cheers.
    AlanH.

Get some Carby Cleaner or Throttle Body Cleaner, not a good idea to touch any hot wires, don't know anything about the late model 2.4's.
Maybe you should post in the Defender section, under your year model, I'm not sure whether there is a plug in diagnostic tool for your model, but I would imagine there is, Regards Frank.

Hi Frank. I've had the Nanocom on it and it shows no faults at all. Had mild jerking this morning on it's first run but as the weather is warmer today and not as cold as when it's really bad, not a good test.
I'll put it in the Deafener section and see what happens.
    Cheers.
    Frank.
