Cheers
I pulled out the radiator and laid it flat and filled it up with the cap on (about 2 litres) and let it stew for nearly 2 days, the crap that came out was amazing. I then put it back in place and filled the lot (about 5 litres) and ran it til it got hot, had to bleed a lot of air out and then left the cap half on as there was a lot of gas then left it for another day, even more crap! I'm thinking of doing it again. I used to use soap crystals also but this seems to work better.

2 things to watch for when doing this though, 1.you'll attract every ant in town and they get in the tank so cover the ends.

And 2. be sure to really flush out the engine after as the stuff stays around. I did one last flush a week after doing this and there was still that acid smell to the water that came out.
I've just come back from a quick trip to Tilpa this weekend, it was 45 yesterday and the olddog only got hot when we pulled up and idled at the pub......no wait that was me running hot

Battery acid cleans them up well too, just don't leave it in too long. Kinda eats things you don't want it to if it is.
That doenst supprise me, coke and battery acid have the same pH, well not quite but coke is very acidic, around pH 4. Try putting a piece of steak in a dish full of coke, once you see what it does, you wont want to drink it anymore. Matt
Well, it would cook the steak, wouldn't it.

Personally I prefer a BBQ but each to his own.

And I'm still drinking coke, no wonder I'm such a picture of health
