Steering box leak

My steering box is leaking in my 91 D1. I pulled the drop arm off and lo and behold, the bottom seal is stuffed. Now my question is, does that deal come out and re inserted from the bottom? Or the top meaning I have to take it apart...

Yes, it comes out from below. There is a circlip holding it all in.
