    lift kit - series 1 disco

    anyone had an ironman supension lift (springs and shocks) on a series 1 diesel disco?

    do the v8 and diesel lift kits have the same spings to get the 2" lift?

    They should be different rates to acount for the drive train weight differences.

    Lenght should be the same.

    I did the IronMan kit on my 1996 Disco TDI Auto.

    I woundn't do them again 0 changed the springs to Rangie Spares ones later and wished I'd have done the Rangie Spares / Bilsteins in the first place.

    I used to like them - got them cheap through Repco, but I think the shocks are the same as "Gabriels" from Supercheap - looked the same anyway.

    I also had another set on a non LR 4WD, - ok it was a Nissan Patrol but did have a Ford badge (Ford Maverick)

    Main problem I had was the rear gas shocks would compress at an angle and therefore the outer tube onto the inner tube - pain comes off and then metal against metal.

    Their customer services were good - they replaced, but then they recommended foam celled rears - too bloody heavy, so vehcile ran like a truck at the rear.
