    Poly Bushes?

    G'day Guys,

Anyone been able to source reasonable priced Poly Bushes?

I contacted Rancho a couple of weeks ago and got the following response:

    <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>

We can provide a kit of bushes to suit front and rear panhard rods, as well as front and rear radius arms. Cost $370.

Additionally, we can provides the bushes to suit the sway bars. Both D-shape and for the sway bar links. Total cost $99.

Coil spacers front or rear $36 in 10mm. $44 20mm or $66 in 30mm (each).

If you would like to order, just let me know.

    Regards,

    Kirk.[/b][/quote]

When I was fixing up the 76' rangie, I was advised against poly bushes and to stick to rubber. The reason given was that the poly bushes would not alow enough "give" and may tend to break things on rough terrain. When I put the new rubber bushes in it was like a new vehicle.....in the suspention anyway

Coventry spares sell them at a reasonable price if you really want to fit them.

DO NOT FIT poly type bushes unless you only drive on road.

You can chop a set out off road in a couple ofhours.

    Stick withRubber.

so enlighten me - why do all the European LR's use them even for comps etc?

You can get different grades of polys - not just the rock hard ones.
