3 warning chimes & the power flickers

I have a 02 D2a td5, I can be driving or car in park in the drive way with motor running, I sometimes get these 3 chimes and all power to the car flickers, dash lights, head lights the stereo goes out, but the engine doesn't miss a beat, a couple of seconds later and everything is back to normal. This could happen once a day or 4 times in less than a minute when driving. A couple of times I have stopped somewhere got back in the car and there is no power, I'll wiggle the shifter bounce around in the car turn the key a few times and everything lights up, I think they could be related problems.
All fuses are good, battery is good and earth is good, what else can there be?

    Thanks for your help.
    Jason.

Are the battery clamps well tightened?... if yes measure voltage on the battery while the symptom occures, if there's no drop check the connections at the engine bay fusebox and make sure that the big fusibkle links are well plugged, check the connetors at both fuseboxes back plugs, the interior fusebox used to have corrosion in the plugs if there was a sunroof or windscreen leak in the past... make sure the alternator has no rust on it's contacts

Battery terminals are all tight and the battery has a charge indercater which is a nice bright green. Connections at the fuse box under the bonnet are firm I'll check the under dash fuses and make sure they nice and tight as well.

There is another current thread here at the moment with earth problems, I'd be checking all of your earth points again. You may have a dirty connection that's intermittent . If it's doing it while running, you would have to have a crook battery and alternator at the same time.

    Cheers
