    Td5 Head

Where can I get the head on a Td5 Discovery pressure tested in Perth?

Temp gauge sits on quarter all the time, under heavy acceleration or a hill the temp rises to half and sits there for a while then drops back to quarter until the next hill, doesn't do it all the time though.
I'm not losing any water, I have flushed the system, it did it before that anyway, I have just had the gearbox recond not that I think that would matter.

    2000 Td5 Discovery Automatic.

Have you checked your thermostat? if it is stuck open can behave like that.

Temp gauge should sit on half once warmed up. Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open (better than being stuck closed). To test you would normally removed and place in boiling water to confirm it opens when hot, in your case if you remove you will probably find it is already open when cold. If going to trouble to remove to test then may as well replace with new.

Your radiator may need rodding out, go to your local Rad bloke, get him to test it, if the radiator needs rodding take it out yourself and deliver to him, a lot cheaper than if he removes it, Regards Frank

Awesome thanks guys, I have ordered a new Thermostat, as you say if I'm going to the trouble of testing I may as well replace it.

If that doesn't help I will remove the Radiator and get it looked at.
