Sway Bars. Leave on or take off?
G'day Again, Should I leave the front sway bar fitted on my 84 Rangie? I removed it from my Vitara and gained about 50mm of droop travel, or is this unwise with stock soft coils & a heavier engine? Any advice appreciated!
Cheers Scott. :?:

Is it your daily transport?
If it is a departure from standard spec then the RTA will be interested.
I have heard of rear sway bar disconnects for temporary and off road use but never the fronts.

Er 84 Rangie did not have front sway bar , so it is aftermarket.
I am sure that RTA has no interest as even up to 93 some models(USA County 3.9) did not have sway bars, while some/most models did.
The rule is that if the original model had or had not it is OK,. That is why you can legally get coil kits for Classic EAS cars but not P38, as an engineers certificate would be needed for every one.

G'day, yes it's my daily driver. I only drive 30k's a day to and from work and onc a monh a full round trip of 500k or so. I'm more interested in making it work better offroad than driving fast in the twisty bits! I'm used to body roll already....I'm an ex truck driver!
I wonder if th swaybar was fitted after th GMH V8 went in? Cheers Scott.
