vlad, i'm sceptical about this "bent housing" these salisbury 8ha diffs are quite robust. they are pretty much the same as a dana 60 which is about the most common diff in larger pic ups in the usa, and about the most popular for custom 4x4 build ups as they are strong. yes they can "flex" from wheel to wheel(even a little more than a rover i think) but i would get a second opinion. if you are looking at maxi-drive ring and speak to mal re this and also the ques. about the axles. i think they are the same (locker-non locker) but don't quote me. he could also recommend a fitter nearest you. don't get an arb locker go the maxi-drive
ps you won't buy better axles than mals. ANYWHERE

Wheel alignment check
Take it to a good experienced workshop or tyre outlet that has a wheel aligner and have the alignment checked, this will very easily pick up if you have a bent axle case and which side is bent.
We had a similar case in our workshop with a 86 Rangie that steered really odd (read dangerously) took it into Bob Jane T mart and very quickly from the results could see that the rear axle case was bent, one side was toeing out real bad.
