FAQ - Rims

This is a post to include in Vlads COMMON QUESTIONS

We need to start a thread on RIMS

I would like our TECH guys to set up a "database" on LR rims.

sizes, stud patterns, what fits what,
steel, alloy,

we need to set this up for our "less technical" members .

I am looking for volunteers from this forum to co ordinate this--

Noddy?
Ron?
Rocket?

anybody with the knowledge

come on-- this is a chance to put something in---

we need you guys to talk amoungst yourselves and set this up---

This will be ANOTHER good thing for AULRO

For those that work in back spacing much easier.

Std RR 16*7 130mm back spacing.
Taller tyres require less back space, most common 100mm allows upto 33 with out reducing turning circle.
85mm back space (most reversed disco wheels) will allow 35s to run.

7*16 metric tyres to 33in: 255*85/16, and 35*10*16, IE: centerpedes, Q778 swampers ect.

16*8 up to 12/315mm tyres.

15*8 most 12 inch tyres are not legal on these rims, spec size is 8.5 in.
