Series 1 Disco heater core replacement

G'day folks, just wondering if anyone here has had the pleasure of being lumped with this job?

I have pulled out the console and vent control surround and seem to be faced with a full dash removal.

Is the job really this ugly, or is there some expert advice floating around out there?

    Hi There...

I havn't done one on a Diso 1...... but helped a mate do his on a '92 Rangie...

I came to the conclusion that Landrover started with this part and built the car around it 8O

Certainly pretty ugly for what should be a straight forward fix....

There should be someone around here with first hand Disco 1 experience of the job - as I believe it is not uncommon for the heater cores to die...

    Good Luck Mark

With you on that one! It certainly looks to be a mongrel of a job!
