RAVE Mac

First, i'm not sure of the right forum to ask this, so I'm in your hands, mods.

Does anyone here successfully use RAVE with a Mac? If so, how? I don't seem to be able to get it to work even with a PC emulator such as Parallels. I can read all the PDF's, but it would be great to use it with the index structure working.

should work fine in xp under parallels or fusion unless your copy of rave is crook

you can even copy the contents of the cd to the hdd image and run it from there...

I'm using Win 7 in parallels. There seems to be an issue with Acrobat. The copy of
Acrobat that came with RAVE isn't recognised, and it won't work with the new copy I
downloaded. My copy came from you...

I'll persevere.

That's what I'll try. Maybe then it will use my copy of Reader. Been a long time since I used Windoze.

Don't forget you can drag the individual PDF files into iBooks and put it on a iPad for use in the field. Can be a bit arduous flicking through 1200 pages of the main manual on an iPad but better than not having it when something goes wrong. MLD

I also had to copy the lot to another HDD from a windows PC, then read the HDD copy with my Mac. Mac wouldn't read it otherwise.

P.S. would be sweet if they came on a USB stick... *hint hint*

Use the Google Search feature at the bottom of the page and you'll find numerous posts about using RAVE on a Mac.

I run it on a mac, but you need a version that has been "freeraved". then it's just a matter of going into the disc folder and clicking on the pdf file and it will read from your mac pdf reader via the CD.
or copy the disc files to your MAC Hard drive and then open it from there.
