The panard rod is the one that goes from the left to the right (as you look at the front of the truck). Left is higher than right and attc to the chassis and right is to the axel Basically holds the axel in line with the chassis. Straight bar with a kink in it. Has a bush at each end.

Check the front Hockey sticks bushes. The real name is front radius arms , but we tend to call them hockey sticks , will become clear when you see them as they are shaped like hockey sticks. Go from the chassis (behind the axel) to under and around the front axel.
Get a big screw driver and put it between the hockey stick and axel Then lever it. On the axel end of the hockey stick are two bushes, when you lever the screw driver look at these and see how much movment you have in the bush . Should be hardley any. But if you can move the axel and hockey atick apart easy then you need new bushes

    Hope this helps

have you changed your tyre pressures since?
ie. running higher pressures than previous?

or try using the damaged damper to see if it corrects your problem.
if it does this will eliminate the bushes.

the new damper you got may have had it....

Hi DZ, I might try a new damper first, after all it has only started doing it since i replaced the steering rod and damper. The old one was buggered, so i chucked it out, it wasnt worth saving. I will get a new damper and see what happens. Matt

i just thought that if it was the bushes it would have been doing that before you changed the rod.

since all you changed was the rod and damper it should only be one of these components causing the problem. as nothing else was touched.

Hi DZ, I replaced the steering damper and the shudder is stil there, it just isnt as evident through the steering wheel, the whole car shudders. I cant see how the new track rod would affect it. I have posted a question in the Bushes thread i started, post replies in that one, so we dont have two threads going on the same topic. Matt
