Back in '96 we secured the deck with some rubber tie down things and wedges, which didn't work at all well. That's why I want to do something very different this time.

Why not screw or rivet some galvanised angle to the cappings. Then you just need some cross bracing on your ply to make it stiff enough.

They may not be cheap though.
If you want some pins turned up or some bolts drilled give us a yell.

Thanks Mick - I might take you up on getting some bolts drilled. Every time I try to do something like that I end up with a lot of broken drill bits and losing a fair bit of blood.
