Just buy 4 axle flanges to suit a TDCi defender, two front, two rear, nothing more.Replace the cast ones using the same bolts torqued to 60nm from memory,a blob of grease in the flange nut to lube the splines and one less clunk to worry about. Pat
hi, yeh id change dealer, i seriously doubt a clutch needs replacing after that amount of kms, more like the throw out bearing or some other small part more than likely from your stuffed gearbox. I know my dads R380 box in his 300TDI stuffed afew other thing because he let it go to far for a box rebuild. We find if you drive them like trucks, as in take up drive line slack, then put load on the drive line for the next gear (clutch trick) whether going up or down gears they last a hell of a lot longer. They are only small gearboxes and transfer cases realistically compared to other manufactures. they cant take any gear slapping or race changes what so ever if you want longevity. once they are in gear but, give em hell.
my 2 cents, I find this has worked for me and my dads rigs, everyones different, Might be worth a try if your not already, hope this helps
