Help - Rangie diff into series?

i was taking the pi$$ a bit. Keep those eatans at all cost. You wont find better. how about posting some pics of the beast.

re the brakes - what size are the spindles ? any chance of fitting rangie hubs and spindals? this is what i am doing on my S3 you will have to make custom caliper mounts and stuff around a bit.

but if you are sprung over and rangie swivels are a option,
i would cut off the existing axle flange and weld on a rangie flange, should work. most diff shops will be able to do this cheap.

but imho you have the second best 4wd rover ever made (101 fc #1 )
i would't do any butchering that can't be undone..

but if you do want to sell it, cool i will pay $$$ for it. When it arrives i will put it on the dole. should pay for itself real quick. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img]

hi import, i have a disc brake kit from a rear diff of a S111 (yes a 4 wheel disc S111). it is the machined hubs, rotors, caliper adaptor brackets and toyota calipers. it was fitted to a salisbury diff but still used the smaller S11a stub axles. should fit the front axle as well. when i bought this diff i tried to buy the front diff as well but the guy threw it out because the diff was noisey :evil: boy was i ****ed! anyway it all bolts in to the original mounts for the backing plate of the drum brakes. the calipers are a bit rusty but the hubs and rotors are like new. let me know if you are interested. jim.b.

Env's 4.7 to 1 ratio with same brake shoes and cyclinders as stage 1 v8 series 3. I use an isolated booster rather than the series 3 master cyclinder and booster combo. The F/Control have a rep for rubbish brakes.

So you have ENV's.
Look at BCB offroad as they make a kit.

What hubs do the ENV's have? Same as stage one? or like the FC 101's.
I still think they are different.

If they are like a stage 1, you can retain your spindles and bolt on rangie hubs and make a custom bracket to hold the callipers.

Hi Dave,
No idea about the hubs.
any kits available are going to be way out of my price range.
Tell me more about your "bolt on rangie hubs" theory though and do you have any "links" to similiar info?

Well stage 1 have the same hubs as a rangie, so you can use rangie hubs to convert to disks which you need to then make a disk calliper bracket.
