Remember I run 'tiny' 32's and you can get away with it, but 35's like you stated you start to have issues. Want to go to 33's and this is a big concern, spending money that I don't have [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif[/img]

Unless you have the old 4 speed manual box, then it's not a problem. I am running 35's and have no gearing problems in low range. High Range is another story but I just put up with it until I put in the 4.6l :twisted:

So are you saying the gearing is too tall for 35s with the old 4sp?
Or is it that they are not strong enough?

in my opinion, the gearing will be to tall with any of the LR gearboxes and 3.45 diff ratios...
your 2 options are either change the low range gearing...
or change the diff gearing...

Change diff gearing.

Fixes both high and low range.

If changing the diff ratios you'll need to do some calculations as to what the % increase is in your rolling diameter over standard and then apply that to your diff ratios to work out where you need to be.

Another alternative is to perhaps slot in the transfer case gears from a Defender (std 32s) which, while not a perfect solution to match your gearing, keeps things reasonably straight forward and if you want you can keep a set of 32s on rims to use as road tyres?
