Yep, you can buy 12 volt power supplies for a laptop - I have one myself in my work car and it negates the need for an inverter now.

Then at 12volts DC that should be around 5.4A which with 105AH battery should last a while. This sounds more reasonable.

buy a suitable external hard(as to hold all the data from your computer) or even stick cos there are quite cheap 128Gb on the market, save in it everything from your desktop, give away the desktop for charity, get a cheap second hand good laptop and load it with the data or run it with the external hard/stick on 12V supply and you can be powered for many, many hours:cool:

I found the solution today:

I bought a in car laptop charger from Jaycar:

This then allows me to run a 19V 3.42A computer system off my secondary battery!

Wahoooo! I just tested it and it works! Now I just need to hard wire the thing up!
