yep, Maxi axles and drive flanges are much better quality (materials and machining) than OE Land Rover.

i'd say that most of the guys still running rover diffs on there rigs in the outback challenge run maxi drive. there axles are made from "hytuf" ams 6418. one of the best materials available. its used in aircraft undercarriage's. i run a full maxi dirve diff lock/axles etc in the rear of my d110. soon to have in the front as well. i would recommend them 100%. Australia'n made and owned
    cheers, serg

Hi guys, much talk about these maxi drives. My truck has arb diff locks front and rear. How can you tell if the diffs have maxi drives?. If it has not, where is the best place in vic to find them and any idea how much? Thanks Deano

Easy way, ARB are air activated lockers, Maxi-Drive are vacuum operated lockers.

Best place - I'd contact Maxi-Drive direct and organise them if you are going to fit them yourself!

How much would it set me back to get a complete set up under my truck i.e. Axles lockers flanges CV's and would i also need or should i get stronger drive shafts?

I have a 98Tdi Discovery and wouldn't mind spending some money to save money if you follow i am currently pricing all mods i am planning to see how much i will be looking at to set up my truck how i want it then look around and see if i can find anything already done as i am still deciding which path to go down i am aware buying one already done will be cheaper but i wouldnt mind knowing i built one up myself.

    Cheers.
