You did really well to get a battery of that cap for that price.

Hey Matbor... what type of battery were you looking up specs on? That was an interesting bit of info re: the temp . I agree with Drive Safe, I would stick to a wet cell battery. The AGM/SLA batteries have there good points but do have some bad points, such as being fussy when being charged. Some of the maunfactureres of these batteries wont do a warranty unless you have a charging system that meets their strict requirements. Before buying one of these batteries ask plenty of questions and try to weed out the truth from the bull that some sales people will try to give you . cya

Looking at getting a deep cycle for the second battery in the disco, tried to look up the specs but the Supercharge web site is a bit screwed and nothing comes up.

Any idea how much $ I will be up for, and what capacity/size will fit in the battery holder on the passenger side of a D1?

Have been using a Apollo battery, but the model I used no longer exists and can't find a replacement for it from the same guys (It's been in for 2 to 3 years) !!

As you can see it fits into a rather small area, so space is at a premium.

I just use it to run my fridge when I'm not in the car driving and over night camp stays, find it will run the fridge overnight and some camp lights.

I was thinking a GEL one would be better than the one I used in the past, but noticed the temp rating.

gee not much room, pitty its not a bigger space, 33amp/h is not much, although i have 200amp/h of storage and a solar panel which most would think is a bit over the top

I know it isn't much room, could make more, but can't be bothered... it's just to run the fridge, and if I had a van/camper trailer most of the power would be in that anyhow.

We have a battery just like that . Its called a US U145. Its a 45 amp hr and made in USA. Give our Melbourne office a call for a price.

The battery is made by our factory in Los Angels, USA, we usually market it under the name of Motolite, which is one of the SuperCharge Battery brands, it is the same dimensions as yours and looks identical to the pics I have seen of yours. The only specs I have at hand are that its 12 volt and 45 amp/hr @20 hr rate. Remember to mention that Les Hicks (QLD state man ) and my self ( Brad ) are offering discounts to Aulro members .
