    It's not answering the inverter question, but there are other stove top options that make good coffee.

    There are cheaper versions of the same thing but you will need a grinder to get the best out of it.

    Buying the atomic, an electric grinder and a small inverter would be cheaper than the inverter required to run the pod machine. Plus you're not limited to pods! You can get whatever coffee you like!

    Hi Judo, and trying to get power from an alternator at idle is not real that useful as most new vehicles are lucky to produce enough power to cover the vehicle's own needs and a bit to recharge the motor, after starting.

    High idling will get you far more output from the alternator but this is not something that should be done for long periods of time.

    It not to good for the motor!
