    D2 immobilised..

Folks, I'm sure this will have been covered before, so feel free to point me in the right direction..

Mt D2 has been sitting for a while, but I got some motivation the other day and put bits back on, put in a new battery and fired her up. I had to press the fob button to get the immobiliser to but out, but that's been like that since she was in getting the trans done.
I went out today and fitted a new belt, and tried to start. The red light was on, so I pressed the bob button, but no response. The only way I can get it to start is with the EKA. Is there something simple I can try, or is it a Nanocom/testbook thing?

Ok... the plot thickens. I went back out after posting about this, and the alarm sounded as I opened the ( unlocked ) door. So, EKA. Now the car starts anytime, but I still can't lock it with the fob. By the way, I have two fobs, both have new batteries and both light up on each button press.

I must be mad to own these cars.

Now the thing is the other way again. EKA or nothing except angry neighbours.

Nice to drive it again though. Puts the 300 D1 back into perspective.

First logical move would be to replace the roof receiver, it's plug and play and very common failure, especially if there was a sunroof leak at a time but not necessarily

Well, I can say with great certainty that there has been a sunroof leak... Lol. Thanks, I'll check it out. Perhaps that would explain the erratic behaviour. Sheesh, what am I saying?
