I use these on most of my equipment. I chose the orientation to be the same as the full size anderson plugs. This is also an international standard for 12V DC, as used by amateur radio operators.

Use these for a few things eg solar to vehicle batteries
When setting these up obviously helpful to join them the same way as other people. In Vic that appears to be as per WICEN (vic):

My understanding is NSW go the other way round (must make itinteresting when CFA support RFA and vic versa) so probably should make an adaptor (small fuse + wrapped in fluro coarse sandpaper) just in case.
The question is what do other states do?

Every Anderson plug I've fitted is marked + and -.
So far I've had a 100% compatibility regardless of suppier.
With the amount of solar panels, campers, caravans, etc. sold across Australia I thought they would all be the same.
Hi Kyle, jcamp is talking about Anderson POWER POLES.
These are different to the standard 50 amp GREY Anderson SB type Connectors.
I use both but for nearly all my low power applications I use the 30/45 amp Power Poles.
Here are some examples of the way they can be used.

Wicen NSW use the same format as Vic.

Are you asking if panel mount sockets are available? If so, they are.
