KLR run an R380 behind a 4BD1T in their own RRc. They have probably done more 4BD1 conversions than anyone other than JRA.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Not my project Justin, just sourcing the info. Plus, only box that will fit in a soft dash other than the Isuzu box

Still a toy gearbox though. Wouldn't rely on one behind a 4bd1T as far as i could throw it. Easy to have one fit a rrc of course but that doesn't make it the best choice.

Just my personal opinion i will add.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Certainly i don't doubt they have successfully fitted and used plenty of them Diana however i am of the opposite opinion regarding the overall suitability for utmost reliability. Sure they are a nice trans to shift and quiet in operation also the stock looking conversion to diesel is a very good reason . I'm just not enamoured with the R380 at all for this application .

    Another 2c from me. ☺

Agree jc, but nothing else fits in a soft dash lse, thats what its going into. Isuzu box fits but no one is doing that comversion at the moment. But when/if it happens again the r380 will go in the bin.
