    That's normally the indication of the position of the auto gear stick - P, R, N, D, 3, 2 or1.
I've never seen the symbol that's in your picture.
Does the symbol change at all when you move the gear stick?

Yep, you're showing drive, neutral and reverse all at the same time, but I've got no idea what's causing it.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

    Auto rear wiper is correct.
I would be checking for oil at the red plug on the engine ECU,it causes all sorts of strange issues.(assuming its a TD5)
ECU is located adjacent to the battery.

Well that has cleared that one up!LOL

Hmm, if it is providing current to a number of the LCD connections , then it may help to remove the ECU and clean both plugs , and clean the plug that is back a bit from the ECU.
Maybe you should connect a Nanocom and see what faults come up.

Thanks a lot guys I didn't even think about the ecu plugs clean.. I will have a look and see. last time I plugged the nano in, the only fault code was air flow circuit (logged high). I will keep you updated as this has only happened once a week and both times on a Saturday. This morning I did have the beeping noise as if I had left the lights on when I turn't the key to position ll to start.. Thanks again really appreciate it.

Check with your nanacom to see that your Vehicle is set to MANUAL and not AUTOMATIC, as a gremlim might have switched it over.
We have have Manuals with Auto set in the vehicles brains.
